A flavor-packed jalapeño that takes around 70-80 days to mature. This ancient heirloom has a mix of a sweet flavor and heat. Like many peppers, jalapeño's come from various parts of Mexico, especially Oaxaca. Sturdy 2-3-foot tall plants covered in 1-2-inch deep green pods that ripen to a bright red color. Eat them red or green. As a Mexican chef once told me about the heat level, "it depends on the mood of the jalapeño!"
