(Tropaeolum majus) Native to the Andes mountains, Nasturtiums have been used for food and medicine for generations. This Nasturtium mix is a result of planting a few types and allowing them to cross freely. Tip Top Nasturtiums and Salmon Baby Nasturtiums were the majority of the parent plants. The resulting generations boast a wide variety of colors, ranging from vibrant orange to pastel pink, to mixed sunset colors.
Nasturtiums flowers and leaves are edible and can be used in salads, to make a peppery salad dressing, or simply as a garden snack. They work well as container gardening plants or as companion plants and trap crops to lure pests.
