Perennial in the Nightshade Family, native to Central America, grown as an annual outside the tropics. Indeterminate vines to 6′ long, longer in hot areas. Sweet red fruits with a slight tang. Average garden soil, with appropriate tomato amendments. Full Sun. Start indoors 4-6 weeks before the Final Frost. Follow standard procedure for potting up, hardening off, etc. Set out with 24-36” spacing. Can container-garden. Provide something for it to climb, these vines go everywhere just like our friend Matt's beard. Harvest when fruit easily falls from the vine. Contains 50 seeds
