(Centaurea cyanum) Annual in the Aster Family. An eye-catching mix of purple, white, lavender, pink, and classic blue flowers, many two-toned. 3-5′ tall. Edible flowers; an attractive addition to tea blends. Definitely attracts pollinators, especially honeybees. Drought-tolerant once established.

Planting suggestions: Tolerates poor soils, including heavy clay. Full sun. Direct-sow after the Final Frost and thin to 8-16” apart. Can also be sown in flats and transplanted out after the 3rd true leaf has appeared.
